To talk to my parents

I’ve tried so many times to get my parents to see where I’m coming from, but it’s like talking to a brick wall. They’re just not open-minded about how things work now. Every time I bring something up, they hit me with the “well, when I was your age” line, and it's so frustrating because the world is literally nothing like it was for them. My dad is okay sometimes because he actually scrolls TikTok and kind of gets the vibes, but most of the time there’s just this huge disconnect. They just don't get that being a teenager today is a totally different ballgame.
