Asking for assistance

I got family around here who stay leanin' on me for stuff since their own kids moved way out. I tell 'em straight up, “Just hit me up if you need a hand,” but they can't ever just say it. Instead, they call me up with all these games — either tryin' to guilt-trip me like they're out here strugglin' all on their own, or just ventin' about how the house is fallin' apart. It’s drainin', man. You’d think it’d be simple to just be real and say, “Yo, I need help,” but they'd rather do all that extra talkin'.
